Northern Ireland Social Security selects AutoRek for Cheque Reconciliation.
AutoRek, the market leading provider of cash management solutions for both the private and public sector is delighted to announce that Northern Ireland Social Security Agency (SSA) has selected the AutoRek reconciliation solution.
The SSA will use AutoRek to automate the verification and reconciliation of its 35,000 weekly cheque payments. The SSA delivers its services to the people of Northern Ireland and additionally to several districts in London on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.
Benefit cheques are issued from various departments including Job Seekers, Child Support, Disability and Winter Fuel allowance which upon payment need to be processed, reconciled and eventually settled with the payment facility (e.g. Post Office, Bank etc). Cashed cheques are scanned into AutoRek’s document management database and matched to the issued cheque data. High volume scanning supports a minimum of 200 documents per minute and allows users to drill down from the transaction details to the scanned cheque image.
